Company History

The Chambers family can trace its construction roots back to the 18th Century when, Arthur James Chambers (pictured furthest to the left) was a Master Carpenter and boat builder. The Chambers family originated from the Isle of Wight Hampshire England and the family crest is the emblem of Chambers Builders, representing the strong family connection and ethos that helps make up the company.

Michael Alan Chambers started M.A Chambers Builders with a view of creating good quality construction at affordable prices. He began trading in 1978 after gaining experience as a Carpenter and Joiner. Mike Chambers has worked in the commercial sector on projects such as GCHQ, Gloucester Royal Hospital and the M5 before finally establishing a company.

Chambers Builders Ltd was established in January 2009 by Alastair Chambers and has gone from strength to strength, sustaining continual growth, currently employing over 50 contractors, and achieving a turnover of £6.5million.

Alastair maintains a hands on role in the running of Chambers Builders Ltd. His vision for Chambers Builders was the view of producing hi-end builds and refurbishments with safety as a paramount factor, whilst exceeding the clients expectations. Alastair has a Construction Management BSc degree with Hons at The University of West of England, gained after spending his formative years helping his father within M.A Chambers Builders, gaining invaluable experience and a thoroughly good grounding of all aspects of the industry.
